Makasi College of Health Technology Ugba is a private health monotechnic which was established in September, 2013 by Mrs. Monica Ihongo. It received approval by the Benue State Ministry of Health and also Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

The College commenced with the following Programmes viz:
1. Community Health department
2. Medical Laboratory Science department
3. Pharmacy department, and with the aim of introducing other health and allied sciences programmes in the near future.
